Lake Day

 This week Te Kinga went on a walk through the Velenski track. Before we left we were put into groups with a leader for the day. Since we had First Aid training the day before the leaders made pretend accidents and we had to save them. Kaelyn had hypothermia, Tara fell over, Jimi had a broken arm, Morgan got cut with wood and Tui got a burn from fire. Of course these are all fake so please don't think they are real. A few of them died and a few were alive. On the beach we made smores which was how Tui got 'burnt'. When we finished making the smores we packed up eveything and went back to school.

Hokitika Camp

                       Te King Hokitika camp 2021

                       Last week Te Kinga went on a Camp to Hokitia. We stayed at the Hokitika camp

                 ground for 3 days. As soon as we got there everyone got on the jumping pillow in the playground but 

        there  was a max of 10 so some went on diffrent things.  Our teacher had planned us 3 days of fun activities, 

         like Going on helicopters,The gorge,Lake kaneirie,Swimming,basketball and more. My favourite bit of camp

         was definietly the helicopter and the jumping pillow. i would defineitly love to go there again!!!

People smart

                                       People smart 

Last week my group and I  (if you want an explanation of the 3 topics you can look at my recent post) did people smart. We had to try and get heaps of water anywhere outside but we weren't allowed to use hoses or sinks. We searched around everywhere until we found a medium sized puddle. we had cups and a shovel to get as much water out as we could. We got 84 litres aka 168 cups.

        Topic this week

This week our classs has three topics we can learn about. People smart, Number smart, and Art smart. We have six diffrent groups, two groups go together to different topics. This week my group (one and two) did Art smart. We had to take a photo that involves water.  After we took our photos we had to put some filters on them to make them look better. My photos are below.

Sport

                                          Term 2 Sport

I am looking forward to Sport this year. I personally like Basketball as my favourtie sport because its really easy to play. I also like hand ball which is basically like netball that my teacher, Nic, recently taught the class play. I played as WA (Wing attack) in handball. It was really fun for me and I would love to play it again.

Tē Kinga Walk

Last week my class went up Mount Te Kinga. We went to the 3rd lookout. After the tiring walk we came back down and went for a swim, we also made fires and roasted marshmallows.
